Super breathable protection from the elements--and oncoming cars--the newest addition to the Newport vest is this eye-catching colorway.

Inspired by the Sailing Capital of the World, home to coastal runs, majestic views and whipping winds, Newport is close to our hearts here at illumiNITE and we designed a technical running vest built to withstand our unforgiving, ever-changing New England weather!

  • Eye-catching fluorescent body is wind and water resistant recycled polyester!
  • All-over illumiNITE Dot reflective print covers the torso ensuring 360 degree visibility at night
  • Zip front pockets and generous back pocket provide plenty of storage options for keys, phone and valuables
  • Packs down into its own pocket
  • Smooth mesh side panels allow for entire garment to stretch and breathe as you run like the wind
  • Machine wash gentle inside out. Hang to dry.

V Reflective vest, features as advertised.

Bright, serviceable vest, with useful features. Thanks. I got it for cycling. I imagine it’s attributes are tailored to cool water sailing where, once wetted ,the sailor’s core may be somewhat less heat-losing. Hey this may fit with an inflatable emergency vest like ‘Mustang’, otherwise reflect-a-vest just makes it easier to find a body.
It’s just barely ‘packable’ but is about 20% heavier than other vests I compared. Black side- panels v v breathable, while the beautiful reflective material on the front/ back is v occlusive, v wind stopping and probably water RESISTANT, but for biking I prefer a little breathable front and back in a vest garment, since vest alone is rarely used by me in rainy cool conditions. Some of us sweatsters might find this shoulder venting less than optimal during hard (subjective) exercising. For this cyclist, I wonder if upgrade to a 2-way front zipp might be useful for more control of ventilation in combo with this wind-stop front/ back ventilation configuration.
Premium price currenlyt borne by this novel, functional beauty is understandable.
