Very good night visibility, somewhat breathable

Very good reflectivity (IllumiNITE fabric arms plus bright reflective striping, logo and accents). Very wind-resistant, but with some sacrifice in breathability (vent helps but fabric is not so breathable -- still gets a little moist inside with anything more than light exercise). Arm pocket pretty small to be useful for much.

It's not exactly a softshell as described, but a good windbreaker layer. Nicely reflective, and the red color is bright enough for daytime visibility. Good pockets (I have stuff) and a good fit. I've used it for biking and running--works just fine and will do to replace my very aged old illuminite jacket.
